Roofing has been part of the Leslie family for generations. Richard Leslie Sr. grew up in the trade, with his grandfather, father, and mother all working in the industry and operating local roofing companies, including Leslie Roofing.
When he founded R.L. Roofing in Michigan City in 1985, he brought that experience with him along with a clear standard for how the work should be done. From the beginning, it was a family effort. Behind the scenes, his wife, Tamberlain Leslie, played a major role in supporting the business and helping it grow. Together, they built the foundation the company still operates on today.
What began with three employees has grown into one of the most established exterior contractors in Northwest Indiana and Southwest Michigan. That foundation continues to guide how the company operates today.
Today, R.L. Roofing continues under the leadership of Rich Leslie Jr., who oversees day-to-day operations as COO. Having grown up around the business, he brings a direct understanding of the work and a responsibility to carry forward the standards the company was built on.
Over the past four decades, R.L. Roofing has expanded its reach throughout the region, serving homeowners, businesses, and property managers throughout La Porte, Porter, Lake, St. Joseph, and Starke Counties. The company provides roofing, siding, and exterior services for residential, commercial, and industrial properties.
